Dr. May Liu is a compassionate general dentist dedicated to helping patients achieve lasting, healthy smiles through personalized, conservative care. She treats every patient like family, with an emphasis on prevention, honest communication, and building long-term trust.
Dr. Liu enjoys all facets of general dentistry, with particular interest in restorative work such as fillings and dental crowns. She takes pride in crafting practical, individualized treatment plans suited to each patient’s specific needs. Known for her gentle chairside manner, she’s dedicated to helping patients feel relaxed and confident throughout every visit. She also incorporates tools like intraoral cameras, giving patients a clearer, more visual understanding of their oral health and the treatment options available to them.
A San Francisco native, Dr. Liu completed her undergraduate studies with honors at the University of California, Berkeley, before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. While at UCSF, she was recognized with multiple awards for both academic excellence and community service. She went on to complete her residency at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, where she served as Chief Resident and developed experience caring for patients with special needs and complex medical histories.
When she’s not at the practice, Dr. Liu enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She’s also an avid golfer, baker, and hiker.
